Commercial

The life blood of every business is a series of contracts creating legal relations. Sometimes they are informal and arise out of a conversation or simple exchange of letters. If the contract is important to your business you might want to make sure it is properly drafted and take advice on what ought to appear in it. Too often we are sent a bundle of notes of meetings, emails and scribbled notes recollecting a telephone conversation and asked if we can enforce the contract or “get our money back”. The answer is usually going to be “no”.

We can advise and assist you with the following kinds of documents:-

  • Supplier and customer contracts
  • Distribution agreements
  • Agency agreements
  • Intellectual property, trademark assignment and licensing
  • Competition law
  • Standard terms and conditions
  • Limitation of liability
  • Retention of title (Romalpa)
  • Data Protection Act registration and compliance
