Recruitment

Are you looking for a career with DKLM?

We strive to recruit high calibre candidates in order to grow our business. Our fee earners and support staff are a credit to us and have all contributed to our success to date.   We have an extensive in house training programme and also subscribe to the main external and CPD providers. Our staff are from diverse backgrounds and truly represent the cosmopolitan nature of our client base.

Whilst our staff are expected to perform to the highest standards and to be committed to meeting our service standards at all times, we appreciate that in order to get the best out of people there needs to be a healthy balance in their work and home life.

We are also keen to maintain the high morale which we enjoy in the office and this includes organising social events throughout the year including a Christmas party, ten-pin bowling, quiz nights, wine tasting evenings, pool evenings and soft ball matches and, of course, regular office drinks.

New Residential Property Role (May 2013)

We are seeking to recruit a diligent, confident and self -motivated 1 to 2 year qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with the ability to work in our busy residential department in the heart of London’s Tech City.  The individual will be involved in all aspects of high value residential matters for high net worth individuals.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment and will be able to develop positive relationships with clients, external agencies and colleagues.

Please apply by sending your CV by e-mail to vacancy@dklm.co.uk.

Trainee Solicitors

It is our policy to recruit suitable candidates as paralegals before deciding whether or not to offer a training contract. A paralegal will be expected to work for a minimum of 3 months before an offer can be made. We feel that this is in both parties’ interests. A training contract is an important commitment for both the firm and the trainee. A spell as a paralegal gives us the opportunity to assess the paralegal and for the paralegal to be confident that he or she wishes to train with DKLM.

During your training contract at DKLM you will cover at least three of the following disciplines:-

  1. Commercial Property
  2. Residential Property
  3. Commercial Litigation
  4. Property and Landlord and Tenant Litigation
  5. Licensing

We have two/three trainees at any one time. Each trainee is assigned to a specific partner who is responsible for their supervision and acts as their mentor. The trainee works very closely with a partner but not exclusively for one partner and may be asked to advise and assist other fee earners within the firm depending upon the changing work loads from time to time.

All trainees are invited to attend  in house lectures and are very much involved with the presentations and talks we give to our clients and contacts. All our trainees to date have been offered full time positions with us following qualification.   We very much hope that we will be able to maintain this record.   We see our trainees as playing a  big part in the future of the firm.   We welcome applications from anyone with the appropriate qualifications and would prefer those who gain a 2:1 or higher degree classification.   We offer a competitive salary for our trainees.

Please note, we are not currently recruiting for paralegals or trainees.
