Job Title:                             Head of Employment Law

Experience:                        8 years PQE plus 

Salary on offer:                  Competitive & Dependant on experience

Reporting to:                     Partners

Senior Associate (c.8 yrs. PQE*) or an established Employment Partner - ideally with an existing following - is required to head up and build the employment law function at this growing 9 Partner Tech City law firm.

You will have solid employment law experience in advising on day to day HR queries from clients (including: disciplinary and grievance procedures, sickness absence, performance management, contract and policy reviews), TUPE, managing employment tribunal litigation, and also providing advice to senior executives in the City of London.

This role will suit a self-starter, who has the ability to work closely with the established Commercial Property, Immigration and Corporate Commercial Teams, whilst assisting the wider team on winning new business and retaining strong relationships with existing clients. In return, he or she can expect to benefit from a supportive platform to help build and develop an employment law practice.

Job Title:                                 Lawyer – Private Client

Experience:                            Minimum 3 – 5 years PQE

Salary on offer:                      Market rate dependent on experience

Reporting to:                          Partners

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Lawyer. This role is to be the head of our Private Client department responsible for management of cases and growth of the department. The Department is made up if 1 qualified and one trainee / paralegal, so the successful candidate must be happy to work under their own guidance and grow the department. This role would suit someone looking to take ownership of the caseload and develop and grow the department.

Key requirements for this role are as follows:-

  • A minimum 3 – 5 years Post Qualification Experience in all aspects of Private client work
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment
  • Dealing with all aspect of Private Client work
  • Working on own initiative
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Business Development skills are essential

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

Essential Attributes

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in Law and having preferably obtained a 2:1 or above although all applications will be considered
  • Evidence of interest in, and commitment to, the success of the firm. Relevant experience within a professional services firm would be desirable
  • Understanding of and commitment to DKLM’s values and ethos which can be seen at
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal - the role involves liaison with internal and external people at a senior level
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, and displaying trust and loyalty

Job Title:                             Junior Administrator

Salary on offer:                Competitive & Dependant on experience

Desired Start Date:         ASAP

Reporting to:                     Practice Manager

We are seeking to recruit a junior administrator to join our administrative team providing support and assistance to ensure the effective and efficient running of the office.

Duties will include covering reception and the collection and distribution of post both internal and external. Distribution of stationery and other deliveries including water bottles, kitchen supplies etc. Working closely with our Reception Manager to assist in the efficient processing of file closing and archiving the successful candidate will also provide support to our legal staff with copying, scanning, faxing, filing and other varied duties.

This role is subject to development in line with the needs of the business and is a good opportunity for someone wishing to start a career in the legal profession. Presentation is important in this role as it is a client facing role.
