Michael qualified as a solicitor in 2013, having trained at a boutique firm of Commercial Litigators. He joined DKLM as a head of the Property Litigation department in January 2018.
Michael has broad experience in litigation across a number of sectors, including asset finance, financial mis-selling, insurance and consumer credit. After specialising in Property Litigation shortly after qualifying, Michael has represented some of the largest property management and property development companies in the country. Michael often advises on complex, multi-party property-related disputes and his specific areas of expertise include:-
- Forfeiture of long leases;
- Business lease renewals;
- Dilapidations claims;
- Breach of covenant actions, both defending and pursuing;
- Landlord and tenant issues;
- Lease extensions.
Michael prides himself on his commercial outlook and clients appreciate his common sense approach when dealing with any kind of property dispute.
Outside of work, Michael is a keen runner and a sports geek. As a devoted Evertonian, he has endured the lows and is patiently awaiting the highs.
