Anthony Siu
Anthony was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court in Hong Kong in 1995 and he subsequently founded his law firm Anthony Siu & Co., Solicitors in Hong Kong. Anthony also qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2008. Anthony is a Notary Public and China Appointed Attesting Officer.
Anthony specialises in dispute resolution including civil litigation, arbitration and complex commercial crime matters. He has wide experience in handling cross-border disputes involving Hong Kong, Mainland China and other countries, especially reciprocal recognition and enforcement of judgments or arbitral awards, applications for world-wide mareva freezing injunctions and cross-border insolvency and receivership practice. He also handles regulatory matters acting for parties in quasi-criminal/administrative investigation or proceedings instituted by various governmental authorities such as Securities and Futures Commission or The Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Anthony has extensive experience of co-operating with Counsel from the UK including the Queen’s Counsel. He instructed Queen’s Counsel, Mr. David Joseph, Q.C., and other Hong Kong local Senior Counsel to advise and appeal for the appellant, Xiamen Xin Jing Di Group Company Limited against Eton Group in CACV 158/2012 in Hong Kong. He is now instructing Queen’s Counsel, Ms. Elizabeth Jones QC, in a highly fought probate action with substantial net worth of estate involved.
