Philip Li

Senior Partner

Philip is the Senior Partner of the firm. Having qualified as a solicitor in 1994, Philip is one of the four founding partners. He is devoted to his work and can be relied upon to “get the deal done”.

He deals with all aspects of non-contentious commercial and residential property matters and particularly specialises in the acquisition and sale of all types of businesses which include hotels, golf courses  public houses, clubs, convenience stores, restaurants/hot food premises, post offices, petrol stations, pharmacies, retail shops, warehouses, industrial units, residential and nursing care homes.

Philip is also experienced in dealing with office leases and with the purchase and sale of both commercial and residential portfolio investments, site acquisitions for development and new build off plan purchases.

He is responsible for setting up DKLM’s licensing team and deals with all aspects of licensing work involving the application for the grant of new premises licences, transfers and variations.

Philip has extensive links with the Chinese community in London and is an active member of numerous associations raising funds to support local charities including the London Chinatown Lions Club and the Hong Kong Association.. He also provides pro bono legal advice and assistance to a number of local community associations.

He is responsible for the development of Chinese connections  both in the United Kingdom and in the Far East and regularly organises and speaks at investment seminars both in the UK and China. He is a member of the 48 Group and the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC).

He enjoys travelling to Hong Kong and China when the opportunity arises. He is a keen golfer and regularly plays for Chiswick Hockey team.
