Charlotte Pollard

Senior Associate Solicitor

Charlotte is a private client solicitor specialising in probate and estate administration, Wills and estate planning, Declarations of Trust, Deeds of appointment and retirement of Trustees, Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as mental capacity issues and Court of Protection matters. Charlotte is an affiliate member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) with a STEP advanced certificate in Administration of Estates.

Charlotte has administered estates of high net worth with complex foreign assets and intestacy as well as straightforward estates.   She has been appointed by the Court to act jointly as Independent Administrator, for example, in situations where relationships between those acting as Executors have broken down.  Charlotte has also made applications for an interim grant (known as a Grant ad Colligenda Bona) in an estate where property may be endangered by delay and it is necessary to act quickly to collect in and preserve the assets of an estate.

Following her Honours degree at Warwick University in Drama and English, Charlotte spent twelve successful years in the television production sector.  This was followed by completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Law at London Metropolitan and the LPC at Westminster, whilst working part time as the Legal and Business Affairs Executive at an events management company.   Charlotte’s previous work and life experience contribute to her expertise in dealing with private client matters. Her clients appreciate her approachable, calm and empathetic manner and her  ability to turn the potentially daunting subject of lifetime planning and death into completely accessible advice.

Charlotte enjoys theatre, film and galleries, swimming and baking.  As an avid supporter of Cancer Research UK, although Charlotte admits that long distance running is not her forte, she thoroughly enjoys raising funds and running the Race for Life yearly.
